MY STORY
I have been involved in social work for the past 25 years providing mental health services and supporting community development by creating over 100 community projects and procuring over $15M in grant funding. I was also raised in a preacher's home and have advanced degrees in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, and Social Work. However, not until I created JL Project Services in 2015 did I realize my calling to do more. While I have had an accomplished career, I missed the true calling of God...to change lives and communities through spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church is at a crossroads and I must do my part in spreading the gospel and creating Godly change within our communities.
Over 200 churches will close their doors this week due to ineffective evangelism strategies and lack of funding. All too often the church planter becomes overwhelmed at the task at hand and in despair abandons his mission field. SCE was born out of a desire to pair my newfound calling of assisting church planters, with my expertise in sustainable community development and passion for serving others. A result is an innovative approach to evangelism providing an eclectic mix of evangelism strategies and a sense of empowerment to conquer the challenges that lie ahead.
